"Keep Calm and Validate."

A (not so) small review of my experience this past weekend attending SWMTY.

From May 18th through 20th I got the chance to participate on my first Startup Weekend. For those who don’t know what that is, SW is like a hackaton where designers, programmers and business people get together to develop a business during 54 hours straight. This event is the second edition in the city, but a lot of these events have been happening around the world and in the country, on cities like México City, Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, Morelia, etc. It is also the second time that CEDIM provides the venue and the logistics, doing a terrific job at it, this design school is the ideal space to work and arrange the working teams.

We had some really big mentors like Tristan Kromer - lean startup guru, Hernan Aracena - growth hacker and founder of Oja.la, Jorge Suarez Basañez, Alejandro Treviño, Jorge Tellez, Vladimir Horbovanu, plus the ninja crew like Mircea Turcan, Cristina Nistor, etc. The judges were Tristan, Hernan, Rogelio de los Santos from Alta Ventures, and Michael García Novak from Cedim.
